In our discussions at last night's meeting, we seemed to arrive at three decisions:
1. We could really use a field chalker to mark out our planned runways, pilot stations, and parking area at the Ute Airpark. Does anybody own one, or will we need to rent or buy one? They retail for between $100 and $400.
2. We need to do some work on the bridge leading over the culvert right before the field. Right now we have a stick marking the right-hand dropoff. Wade said he would talk to the site owners about using some of the leftover concrete drainage pipe on the site to do the job.
3. We could use more input on your opinion of the best placement for a runway. We talked about four options at the meeting, and if we had more folks attempting to fly as if those runways were in place (see item #1), we could get a general feel for which is the best orientation given prevailing wind directions. In particular, we have many morning flyers, and not so many mid-day and afternoon flyers. The wind is much higher in the afternoon, and this may dictate the runway's orientation.

e-Bay?
Have we looked for anything used like on eBay? Just a thought.
