Have you ever just had one of those days? This was one of those days!
First: I crashed the Magic Fun Fly which I won at the club Christmas party. It's a total loss, and I may have extensive repairs to the motor to make it flyable again. And it was just getting broken in! My elevator clevis broke in flight. I knew when I was using that cheap one that I took a risk, but nobody stocked one that would fit the bizarre-sized pushrod that the kit used in any decent brand like Dubro.
Everything looks salvageable, but looks can be deceiving.
Then I decided to fly my stryker. Well, I had the wrong program in my DX6, and you know how that turns out! Trashed: one prop, and had to use a little hot glue to fix cracks here and there. One servo is also jittery now, so it needs new gears.
Then an aileron hinge on my Typhoon broke. I brought it down safely and continued to fly it later in the day. Well, the gods were not on my side today, as I stalled the aircraft into the ground a few flights later. Damage: Nose ripped off (hot glue to the rescue!), one aileron ripped off (not the one I taped), and that's about it. Probably a 20-minute repair, but I'm disappointed.
It has been one of those days: a lot of flying done (about six hours on 3 aircraft), but a lot of damage, too. <sigh>.
