New flags put out on the field, please don't remove, they're to scare off the horses.
Planning to buy a windsock. Club appeared to vote in the affirmative in a series of grunts and vague hand-waving.
John K covered some useful building tools. Having the right tool is worth it for the time you save and safety you gain.
And, as usual, the club is bickering about the tiny decisions... this time, what type of windsock we should have, and what location it should be in.
Mike brought treats tonight! Donuts, breakfast stuff.
Evan ran across a fellow willing to donate paint to the club, could be used for painting the flight stands.
Doug talked about the Intro Pilot program discussed last month; we're going to have a number of members become Intro Pilots, and the club is willing to pay the $5 fee per Intro Pilot if the pilot is willing to train on Wednesday nights.
For Sale: Dick had a number of planes for sale. We'll try to get it up on the web site.
Randy Holt discussed maybe having some Utes fly during the Jazz halftime; Randy flies the blimp for the Jazz. We'd want some tiny 3D foamies that can stay entirely over top of the floor.
Mike P covered the financial report. We're in pretty good shape, but we can't spend as much on the field this year as we did last year without going over.
Tom talked about making a roller out of some big metal pipes, said that a club member volunteered to weld it.
Show & Tell! I'm not going to go through all the details of what got showed, but we had a couple of egg-drop demos, Hobby-Lobby FlyCam1 (aerial camera), Great Planes Spirit sailplane, Align T-Rex 450SA, E-Flite Power 25 Beaver, and more. Lots of fun watching egg-drop demos.
