With a retail of $55, you might have better luck just picking up an entire spare-parts motor. Carbs don't tend to go bad unless they are crashed hard; anything less than that and you can usually clean and rebuild them.

I saw this one but it did not look the same as the current carb.

Yes the carb I have is hammered, the needle valve threads were stripped and the previous owner tried to use plumbers putty to seal the valve back in place, there is also a crack on the casrb stem as it enters the engine. The carb barrel is also pretty rough as though something was put in there to pry it loose. Anyway, I am watching ebay and such for engines and spare parts...

I read through this thread a couple of times back when I was still planning to use the .65 myself. If you can get past the negative hype, there is some handy information about how best to break in and run this motor.

In fact, I bought 4 gallons of fuel with a higher oil content just to break in this engine. I've also got a few props in the larger sizes mentioned in the above thread. Let me know if you are interested in the fuel and/or props.
