St. George, UT

See the event description at http://www.remotepossibilitiesrcclub.com/ . They have detailed descriptions of their flying site on their web site. It's a bit of a hike from the Salt Lake City area, but if you're hankering for some warm-weather flying in February, St. George is tough to beat.

There's some discussion on NURCAC about travel and lodging arrangements. Of course, our board here is suitable for it, too.

We received the following notice regarding channel conflicts:

Remote Possibilities Notice

Attn: All Club Members

It has been brought to my attention from Lorin Reeder that Radio Frequencies 20, 21, 23, and 24 could be in possible jeopardy due to unknown source at this time. It was reported to Lorin that there has been at least two incidents at the flying field recently that Pilots have lost their planes because of radio interference. Lorin is monitoring with his scanner at the Hobby Hut at this time, and Channel 21 seems to be getting a constant signal with channel 23 coming on and off.

If anyone has a possible source to the problem please contact anyone on the Remote Possibilities Presidency or let Lorin Reeder at the Hobby Hut know of your information. So if you're flying on any of these channels please use a little extra caution at the field.

Thanks

Ray (Club Secretary)
